Errata and Addenda
This edition was thoroughly checked by all the musicians that took part in its preparation. As in all editions, however, some minor errors—mostly in the fingerings—have been found and are listed below.
- p. xxi, penultimate line, reads "Baroque harpsichord fingering",
it should read "Baroque keyboard fingering". - p. 2, bar 1, right hand, upper voice, the semiquaver e' should carry the fingering "3".
- p. 5, bar 73, right hand, upper voice, the "3" should be enclosed in parentheses.
- p. 8, bar 26, left hand, the dotted minim c' should carry a suggested trill.
- p. 9, bar 62, right hand, tenor voice, the crotchet b' flat carries the fingering "1", should be "-1".
- p. 10, bar 110, the arpeggiated chord carries the fingering "5/2", it should be just "5".
- p. 10, bar 119, the arrow above the G clef should be between the clefs (it applies to both hands).
- p. 18, bar 6, right hand, tenor voice, the crotchet b' flat should carry the fingering "-1" .
- p. 21, bar 37, right hand, the last crotchet, g', should carry the fingering "2".
Accordingly, in bar 38 the minim g' should carry the fingering "3". - p. 28, bar 15, right hand, the crotchet a' should be a quaver followed by a quaver's rest.
- p. 28, bar 19, right hand, the crotchet a should be a quaver followed by a quaver's rest.
- p. 29, bar 41, right hand, under the f#' dotted quaver the fingering "1" is unnecessary.
- pp. 30 and 64, bar 25 the crotchet rest (right hand, tenor voice) should be located below the e" crotchet.
- pp. 31 and 65, bars 72-73, there should be a hemiola sign.
- pp. 32, penultimate bar, left hand, quite obviously there should be a tie under the fingers "(4)1".
